Built for Boulder County, by Boulder County

We started Boulder Wildlife Solutions because the wildlife services serving Boulder are mostly Denver-area operators driving 45 minutes up I-25, charging premium rates, and rotating through technicians who don't know the local terrain. Boulder County wildlife pressure is different. The foothills push raccoons, skunks, and bats into residential neighborhoods year-round. Older homes in Mapleton Hill, Newlands, and central Longmont have entry points that newer construction doesn't. The university and student rentals create patterns of unattended attics. We know all of it because we live here.

How we work differently

Most wildlife operators in Colorado are trap-and-leave: they catch the animal, charge the fee, and walk away from the open hole that let it in. Half the time, another animal moves in within a week. Our entire model is built around exclusion — finding and permanently sealing every entry point on a property so the work lasts. That takes longer per job, but it's why our customers don't call us back six months later for the same species.

We're certified by the National Wildlife Control Operators Association (NWCOA) and hold the Colorado Parks and Wildlife wildlife damage control license that's legally required for paid wildlife handling in the state. Plenty of operators in this region work without it. We don't.

Humane methods, every time

Every animal we remove is handled with live trapping, one-way exclusion devices, or hand-capture — never poisons, glue traps, or lethal trapping outside of legally required situations (such as rabies-vector species confirmed positive). Bats in particular are protected, ecologically valuable, and legally restricted: we follow the Colorado Parks and Wildlife maternity-season window strictly, which means we will turn down full bat exclusion jobs between April 15 and August 15 even when customers want immediate work. It's the right call.

Service area and response times

We only work Boulder County. That deliberate constraint is what lets us respond same-day to most calls, get to active emergencies (bats in bedrooms, raccoons in chimneys, skunks under porches) within 90 minutes, and develop genuine knowledge of which neighborhoods see which problems. Our typical service zone covers Boulder, Longmont, Lafayette, Louisville, Erie, Superior, and the foothills communities of Nederland, Eldorado Springs, Gold Hill, and Niwot.

What customers can expect

Every job starts with a free on-site inspection. You get a written, flat-rate quote before any trapping or exclusion work begins. No hourly billing surprises, no upselling, no scope creep. When the work is done, exclusion is backed by a written re-entry guarantee for the species treated. If they come back, we come back.
